Report a Font
We only list fonts whose licenses allow them to be shared for free, and we take font designers’ rights seriously. If something is wrong with a font on Originalfonts, use the form on this page. We review every report and act quickly.
You can use this page to:
- ask us to remove a font that you believe infringes your copyright (a DMCA notice),
- correct information, such as the designer’s name, license or category,
- report a broken download or a problem with a font file.
Copyright and removal requests (DMCA notices)
If you are a font designer or copyright owner, or authorized to act for one, and believe a font on Originalfonts infringes your copyright, please send a notice through the form below. Under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), your notice should include:
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name counts as an electronic signature).
- The name of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed, such as the font’s name.
- The address (URL) of the page on Originalfonts where the font appears.
- Your contact details: name, postal address, phone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
The form below asks for all of this. When we receive a complete notice, we will remove or disable access to the font and let you know.
Please note that fonts released under open licenses, such as the SIL Open Font License, may be shared freely by anyone. If you’re the designer of an open-license font and want your details or links corrected, choose “Wrong designer or license information” in the form and we’ll be happy to help.
Counter-notices
If a font you provided was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice through the form below, choosing “Other”. It should include your signature; identification of the removed font and where it appeared; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the font was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Originalfonts may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
Repeat infringers
We will remove content and block access for anyone who repeatedly provides infringing material.

Misusing this process has legal consequences: knowingly making false statements in a copyright notice may make you liable for damages.
