Welcome to Originalfonts.com (“Originalfonts”, “we”, “us”). By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Fonts and their licenses

Originalfonts lets you browse, preview and download fonts for free. Each font belongs to its designer and is provided under its own license. The license file included in every download is the legal agreement between you and the font’s designer, and it decides what you may and may not do with the font.

The license summaries on our pages (such as “Can I use it?” and Font licenses explained) are plain-English guides to help you. They are not legal advice. If a summary and the license file differ, the license file wins. It is your responsibility to read and follow each font’s license.

Using our website

You may use Originalfonts for any lawful purpose. You agree not to:

  • use automated tools to mass-download fonts or copy the site in a way that overloads our server,
  • try to break into, disrupt or damage the website or its server,
  • use the site to distribute malware or spam,
  • use our forms to send false, abusive or unlawful messages,
  • remove or hide the license files that come with the fonts when you share font files.

We may block access for anyone who misuses the site.

Submitting a font

If you submit a font, you confirm that you designed it or have the right to share it, and that you allow Originalfonts to publish it for free download under the license you choose. The font stays yours. We may decline any submission, and you can ask us to remove your font at any time through our Contact page.

Our content

The website’s design, text, guides and blog posts are owned by Originalfonts, except for the fonts themselves (which belong to their designers) and content that belongs to others. You may link to our pages freely. Please don’t copy our articles or guides in full without permission.

Advertising

Originalfonts is free to use and supported by ads from Google AdSense. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for the products or services they advertise. See our Privacy Policy to learn how advertising cookies work and how to opt out of personalized ads.

Copyright complaints

We respect the rights of font designers. If you believe a font or other content on Originalfonts infringes your copyright, or should not be here, please see Report a Font.

Links to other websites

Our pages may link to other websites. We don’t control those websites and are not responsible for their content or practices.

No warranty

Originalfonts and all fonts and content on it are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to show accurate information about each font, including its designer and license, but we cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current or error-free, or that the website will always be available.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Originalfonts will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of the website or of any font downloaded from it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the website after changes means you accept the updated terms.
